The client requested our services because one of their existing customers was upgrading to a multi-processor dual core platform and could not fully appreciate the performance implication of the new technology. Through a solid benchmarking methodology and the use of performance data we were able to demonstrate the benefits of the new platform even though their application was not multi-threaded.
This resulted in maintaining a good relationship between the two parties and provided a 3rd party validation of their purchase
